Important information - Taxi driver medical
If you’ve had ischaemic heart disease (like a heart attack, angina, or a stent insertion), a Cardiologist supervised treadmill test is required for a taxi licence, though this is not part of the standard medical.
For insulin-dependent diabetics, you must see a specialist annually and monitor blood sugar twice daily.
If you take diabetes medication, daily blood sugar checks are also necessary.
For high blood pressure, provide at least three home readings taken on different days if you’re on medication.
Please note: in the event that you do not pass the medical we cannot refund the cost.
Free re-test
At OneMedicine, we understand that unexpected factors may impact the outcome of your medical assessment.
If you do not pass, we offer a free re-assessment within 60 days of the original test. Please note that this re-test must be completed within the 60-day window, not just scheduled. After this period, the free re-assessment offer will no longer apply.
This policy ensures you have a second chance to meet the necessary health requirements without additional cost, giving you time to address any concerns.
