MBChB MRCP MRCGP PhD Dip. Cardiology
Dr Ahmed –MBChB, MRCP, MRCGP, PhD (Cardiovascular Medicine), Diploma in Cardiology
Dr Ahmed’s journey into medicine began at Birmingham Medical School, part of the prestigious Russell Group of universities. His postgraduate training spanned a wide range of specialties – including General Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, and Palliative Care – giving him hands-on experience with complex conditions and the ability to offer calm, practical support when it’s needed most.
He has worked alongside world-renowned experts, including Professor Chris Griffiths in Dermatology and Professor Michael Frenneaux in Cardiology. These experiences helped shape his distinctive approach: combining cutting-edge science with compassionate, patient-first care.
After completing the Royal College of Physicians exams (MRCP), Dr Ahmed went on to earn a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine, placing him among a select group of GPs with this advanced academic distinction. His research – focused on advanced pacing techniques and metabolic therapies for heart disease – has been published in leading journals and recognised in the European Society of Cardiology Guidelines. He also holds the MRCGP and a Diploma in Cardiology. Putting him among the most highly qualified GPs in the UK.
But what truly sets Dr Ahmed apart is how he brings all of this together in his work with patients. His philosophy is simple: treat every person as an individual. No rushing, no assumptions – just thoughtful, thorough care that’s tailored to each person’s unique needs and lifestyle.
