NAD+ IV Infusion in Birmingham

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell, central to how cells make energy and repair themselves. Levels fall with age, stress and alcohol. We infuse 500mg slowly over 2 to 3 hours, adjusting the rate to how you feel, with the doctor on hand throughout. It is offered to adults aged 18 to 55 after a medical review, and usually as a weekly course of 4 to 6.

No online times in the next two weeks. Call us on 07777 238 999 and we will reserve a slot for you.

What is in it, and why

NAD+ 500mgmade up fresh from powder on the day and infused slowly in a bag of sterile fluid
A slow rate, adjusted to youNAD+ given too fast causes chest tightness, pressure in the ears, nausea or flushing; run slowly these settle, which is why it takes 2 to 3 hours

Pharmaceutical grade nutrients from a UK supplier, made to GMP standards, free from preservatives and heavy metals, and vegan friendly. The nutrient statements above are the claims authorised for use in the UK; a drip is not a treatment for any medical condition.

People choose it for

  • people who want to try NAD+ in a medical setting rather than a drip bar
  • a weekly course of 4 to 6, which is how it is usually given
  • adults aged 18 to 55 with none of the conditions listed below

Every appointment starts with a short consultation with the GP: your history, medication, allergies and blood pressure. It is included in the price, and if the doctor thinks a different drip (or no drip) is the better choice, that is what we recommend.

How your visit runs

  1. Book online. Choose a time and pay £299. Nothing more to pay on the day. Any 1 litre drip is also available as a 250ml express version in about 20 minutes for £10 less: ask when you book.
  2. Before you come. Eat something and drink water; do not arrive fasting. Bring a list of your medicines and supplements.
  3. A short consultation. The GP checks your history, medicines, allergies and blood pressure, and confirms this is the right drip for you.
  4. Your drip. A small cannula in the arm or hand, then the bag runs in a private treatment room with a reclining chair, slowly, with the rate adjusted to how you feel.
  5. Observation. A 30-minute observation after the drip, with a final check of your pulse and blood pressure before you leave.
  6. Afterwards. Aftercare advice by text, and a doctor to call if you have any questions.

Eat something and drink water before you come; do not arrive fasting. Bring a list of your medications and any supplements. You can drive home afterwards. The NAD+ runs slowly on purpose. Tell us straight away if you feel chest tightness, pressure in your ears, nausea or flushing; we slow the drip and it settles.

Who it is not for

Every drip starts with a short consultation with the doctor, and some conditions mean a drip is not suitable. Tell us when you book, or at the consultation, if any of these apply to you, and we will advise or rebook you without charge.

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a kidney or liver condition, or heart failure
  • You are under 18, or over 55
  • You have a known allergy to any vitamin, mineral or to NAD+
  • You have a haemolytic condition such as sickle cell, spherocytosis or thalassaemia
  • You have a history of bipolar disorder or psychosis, or you take antidepressants
  • You have cancer or an inflammatory condition such as rheumatoid arthritis
  • You take a GLP-1 weight-loss injection (Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic): the NAD+ dose is capped at 250mg

A flush, a warm feeling or a metallic taste during the drip is normal and passes. Mild tiredness or a headache for a day afterwards can happen. A hot, swollen or painful drip site, a fever, or a rash in the days afterwards: contact us. Severe breathing difficulty or swelling of the face: call 999.

Questions people ask

What does NAD+ do?

NAD+ is a coenzyme your cells use in the reactions that make energy and in DNA repair. Levels fall with age and with stress and heavy alcohol use. Infusing it tops up the circulating level; what that does for how you feel varies from person to person, and the research is early. We offer it as an infusion given safely, not as a treatment for any condition.

Why does it take so long?

Because NAD+ given quickly is unpleasant: chest tightness, pressure in the ears, nausea and flushing are common at a fast rate. We start slowly, watch how you feel and adjust, which is why 500mg takes 2 to 3 hours. Bring something to read or watch.

Who cannot have NAD+?

Anyone under 18 or over 55, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a history of bipolar disorder or psychosis, taking antidepressants, with kidney or liver disease, heart failure, cancer, or an inflammatory condition such as rheumatoid arthritis. If you take a GLP-1 weight-loss injection (Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic) the dose is capped at 250mg. All of this is checked at the consultation.

How much is a course?

A single 500mg infusion is £299. A course of 6 weekly infusions is £1,599, which is £266 each. Courses are arranged by phone so the dates can be planned together.

Can I add B vitamins to the NAD+?

Not in the same bag, and not straight after: B vitamins are given at least an hour after the NAD+ finishes. The NAD+ Reset and Ultimate drips are built around that gap.

Do I need a blood test first?

Not for a standard vitamin drip. The GP consultation at the start, with your blood pressure and history, is the safety check. If the doctor thinks a blood test would change the plan, for example if you have kidney or liver problems in your history, we can take one in the same room with results in 24 to 48 hours.

Does it hurt?

A small cannula goes into a vein in your arm or hand, which feels like a sharp scratch for a second. After that you should feel nothing from the drip itself. A cool feeling up the arm, a warm flush or a metallic taste can happen and pass.

Can I drive afterwards?

Yes. None of our drips or shots contain anything sedating, and you have a 30-minute observation with a final check before you leave.

Who gives the drip?

A GMC-registered GP, Dr Ibrar Ahmed, in our CQC-registered clinic. The doctor stays in the building for the whole of your visit, and the clinic has emergency equipment and medicines on site.

Where are you?
