I am a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with over 17 years of experience at one of the UK’s largest university hospital Trusts, Sandwell and West Birmingham, serving a population of over half a million people. Alongside my clinical expertise, I have built an internationally recognised career in medical education, leadership, and research.
My passion for teaching spans more than 25 years. I’ve delivered education to doctors and healthcare professionals regionally, nationally, and internationally – from the UK to Sudan – including designing postgraduate and undergraduate programmes for Birmingham, Aston, Keele and Omdurman Ahlia Universities. I was honoured to receive the title of Most Outstanding Teacher of Medical Students by the University of Birmingham in 2008.
I hold a senior academic role as an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham and have led the Cardiology Education Programme for clinical medical students for over a decade. I am also the Course Director of a postgraduate MSc programme in Echocardiography in Sudan, where I serve as Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine.

Academically, I hold a Master’s in Medical Education from the University of Dundee and postgraduate qualifications from the University of Birmingham. My research into education methods has been published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
Whether treating patients or training the next generation of doctors, my focus is always on high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care. My extensive clinical and academic background ensures that my practice is grounded in excellence, integrity, and innovation.
