Early detection for better outcomes
Breast cancer is a significant health concern, affecting roughly 1 in 8 women in the UK over the course of their lifetime. Women between the ages of 50 and 69 are at the highest risk, accounting for 50% of all breast cancer diagnoses. However, early detection is crucial for everyone, regardless of age or gender, as it significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery.
At OneMedicine, we understand the importance of timely breast cancer screening. Regular screenings help detect cancer at an early stage when treatment is most effective. Whether you’re in the high-risk age group or simply concerned about your health, breast cancer screening can provide peace of mind and improve long-term outcomes.
If you’re at increased risk due to family history, we also offer a Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Service to help you take proactive steps in managing your health.

Personalised breast cancer screening
We provide comprehensive support throughout your breast cancer screening journey. Whether you’re facing the anxiety of discovering a lump or simply need routine checks, our team at OneMedicine is here to offer compassionate care.
Consultations: We begin with a physical examination and discussion about any symptoms or risk factors. Based on this, further tests such as mammograms (x-rays) or biopsies may be recommended to assess for any abnormalities.
BRCA genetic testing: For those with a family history of breast cancer, we offer BRCA 1 and 2 genetic testing as well as a comprehensive test that screens for up to 30 different cancer-related genes. This helps in identifying genetic risks early and provides tailored advice on managing those risks.
Support every step of the way: At OneMedicine, you’ll receive expert guidance throughout the screening process, from initial testing to any follow-up care that may be needed. We ensure that all concerns are addressed with sensitivity and professionalism.
