When an online consultation may not be enough
We will always advise safelySedatives (e.g. benzodiazepines, Z-drugs), strong pain killers (opioids), and other controlled medications are not prescribed during online consultations. These require appropriate in-person assessment and stricter clinical governance.
Chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, collapse, severe bleeding, seizures, loss of consciousness, sudden onset or severe headache, or symptoms of stroke (such as facial droop, arm weakness, or speech difficulty) - call 999.

Yes, where clinically appropriate. Prescriptions may be issued as paper scripts for collection or sent electronically to your email. Medications can be collected from a pharmacy or delivered to you. Controlled drugs are not prescribed remotely.
