Why we recommend Pfizer
The Pfizer vaccine is a trusted option, proven to be highly effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines went through rigorous testing during the pandemic. While both work very well, some studies have found Pfizer may have slightly fewer side effects.
Here’s why we prefer Pfizer:
•Efficient Dosage: The recommended dosage allows for optimal use and minimal waste.
•Easier Storage: It’s simple to handle and use than some other vaccines, making distribution smoother.
The bottom line: The most important thing is to get vaccinated—whether it’s Pfizer or another approved option. It’s a step toward protecting yourself, your loved ones, and your community.
The most common side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine are mild and get better within a week.
These include:
•A sore arm from the injection
•Fatigue
•Headache
•Fever or chills
•Mild flu-like symptoms
If you or your child get side effects, rest and take paracetamol or ibuprofen for children to help you feel better.
More serious side effects, such as a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), are very rare. These include:
•Rash
•Swelling of the face, lips, and tongue
•Wheezing and difficulty breathing
There have been rare cases of inflammation of the heart (myocarditis) reported after COVID-19 vaccination. Most people who had this recovered following rest and simple treatments.
